Field Trip Rotations & Group Management at Hidden Pasture Unicorn Farm
At Hidden Pasture Unicorn Farm, we are committed to providing a fun, safe, and organized experience for every student and teacher. To ensure that each child gets the most out of their visit, we use a structured rotation system for all field trips.
How Our Rotations Work
- Small Group Rotations: Upon arrival, students are divided into small groups (typically 10-25 children per group, depending on total numbers and chaperone availability).
- Multiple Activity Stations: Each group rotates through a series of engaging stations, such as:
- Animal Encounters & Feeding
- Pony/Unicorn Rides
- Playtime & Outdoor Exploration
- Art & Craft Activities
- Timed Sessions: Each station is timed to ensure that every group enjoys all activities without overcrowding or long waits.
- Supervision: We do not provide supervision for children, but are available to assist with animals and answer any questions!
Group Size & Capacity
- Accommodates 50-150 Students: We are equipped to host field trips for groups ranging from 50 to 150 students at a time.
- Flexible Scheduling: For larger schools or grade levels, we can coordinate staggered arrival times or split groups over multiple days to ensure a high-quality experience for everyone.
- Teacher & Chaperone Support: We welcome teachers and parent chaperones to join the fun and help guide students through each rotation.

Your visits help support our non-profit horse rescue, Me&YOUnicorn, LTD, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. Me&YOUnicorn, LTD would not exist if not for the support of Hidden Pasture Unicorn Farm®. We have rescued close to 50 horses since we began almost 5 years ago and now we take in many types of unwanted livestock, rehab them and rehome them or provide sanctuary alongside our pet livestock. We have goats, sheep, rabbits, miniature cattle, chickens, pheasants, turkeys, peacocks and more to learn about and meet while you are here!
Special Amenities: Field trips include access to picnic areas, and restrooms, making for a comfortable and enjoyable outing. We can also host scavenger hunts, bingo and games and even have Santa and the Easter Bunny visit for special requests! We have many extra options for your group to love!
Outdoor Play and Exploration: Kids have access to play spaces, including playgrounds and rustic outdoor areas, encouraging exploration and physical activity in a natural environment.
We offer in-class incubator and egg hatching kits for rent to schools, as well as other educational-farming services!
